The Ormidale Hotel, Brodick
Isle of Arran, KA27 8BY. Built originally as a holiday home for the wealthy London artist
George Hering, Ormidale has been owned and run as a hotel, by the Gilmore family, since 1935.
This lively, family-run pub with en-suite rooms is a 15-minute walk from the Brodick ferry
terminal. The lovely guest rooms all have en suite bathrooms, flat screen TVs, and tea and
coffee making facilities. A traditional full Scottish breakfast is cooked individually to order
and is included in the room rate. Choose from a selection including Creelers kippers and
delicious homemade Granola. The bar is very much the locals' choice for a drink in the village
but visitors are equally made to feel at home. The Ormidale is CAMRA recommended, sells local
beers and stocks a selection of malt whiskies, including a range from the Island's own
